UIDAI lets holders of Aadhaar cardsto change their address, without needing documents. Aadhaar cardholders could modify their address, but only if they didn't provide identification proof.
New Delhi: The Unique Identification Authority of India has temporarily stopped a crucial feature which permits you to alter the address of your Aadhaar card's address without a document of your address.
UIDAI allows users of Aadhaar cards to change their address and address without the need for documentation. Aadhaar card holders are able to update their address, as long as they agree to the authentication by the verifier of their address. A verifier of address could be a family member, friend, landlord or family member that allows the Aadhaar card user to utilize their address for proof.
UIDAI has stopped the feature. UIDAI provided a response to an Card card holder via Twitter by announcing that the option to update address on Aadhaar Card through an Address Validation Letter has been halted. UIDAI has asked an Aadhaar issuer to advise users that they are able to change their address using a acceptable PoA document.
Dear Residents: The address Validation Letter service has been suspended until the next notice. Kindly request your address update using another valid PoA document from the list https://t.co/BeqUA0pkqL
